Smart Commute
Smart Commute is a free program designed to help you reduce your carbon footprint, increase physical activity and engage in some friendly competition. Smart commuting saves energy, reduces traffic flow, improves air quality and makes our region a better place to walk, bike, live and breathe! Our teams have made more than 17,000 Smart Commutes during the last three Challenges!

Lansing Walkability Audit
Mid-MEAC, the AARP of Michigan and the City of Lansing joined together to conduct a comprehensive inventory of the city's sidewalks and non-motorized features. This three year project started in the Spring of 2010 and will conclude in the Fall of 2013. All of the data is collected by volunteers and is being entered into a database that will be used to inform future sidewalk and non-motorized projects in the City.
