Mid-Michigan is looking older and has larger Asian and Hispanic populations, according to U.S. census data released Thursday.

The minority groups’ gains between 2010 and 2012 reflects a statewide trend in those demographic groups, according to data.

In that time, the percentage of Hispanics in Ingham County grew from 7.3 percent to 7.5 percent to 16,923 residents. In Eaton County, it rose from 4.7 percent to 5 percent to 5,408 residents. In Clinton County, it climbed from 3.9 percent to 4.2 percent to 3,206.
