From the Lansing State Journal:  Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero’s decision to call for outside review of the Lansing Board of Water & Light’s botched ice storm response is welcome, if a tad tardy.

Retired Brig. Gen. Michael McDaniel, who is also a Cooley Law School professor and former staffer in the Michigan Attorney General’s Office, will pick his own review team from the entire BWL service area and hold his own public meetings. He pledges to keep the process transparent and “very public.”

Bernero also lined up the Michigan Public Service Commission to review the results of McDaniel’s study and the internal investigation by BWL itself.
