EAST LANSING — The developer behind a controversial $24 million plan to revamp the Trowbridge Plaza in East Lansing pulled the project a day before a city board was to vote on it.
Kevin McGraw, of Lansing-based Caddis Development Group LLC, temporarily withdrew plans for the remodeled shopping center near Harrison and Trowbridge roads — that would have included new student apartments — a day before the East Lansing planning commission was to vote on it.
McGraw’s decision also comes nearly two weeks after a contentious Jan. 8 public hearing.
