Regional Non-Motorized Transportation Forum "Making Tracks in Greater Lansing"


Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance, in partnership with Lansing Walk/Bike Task Force and the Mid-Michigan Program for Greater Sustainability presents “Making Tracks in Greater Lansing” on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the Allen Marketplace in Lansing from 6 to 7:30 p.m.   The forum will feature Victor Dover from Dover/Kohl, a nationally renowned firm, who will offer tips on how to make our streets pedestrian-friendly.Also on the agenda will be updates on programs and policies that are helping to make our region more walkable.The speakers will talk about successful walking programs that are happening in the area, and also changes that have been made by the City of Lansing and others that impact the sidewalks and streets we walk on.There’s even one speaker who will have plenty to share about her walk through every neighborhood in the City!Pizza will be available. P.S. The Allen Marketplace is accessed from behind the Kircher Building complex (north parking lot) where the Allen Neighborhood Center is located.
