From the Lansing State Journal:

Looking at ways become a greener and more sustainable municipality will be the focus of the city’s new sustainability advisory board.

Charlotte City Council gave its approval to the committee’s creation at its Feb 24 meeting.

The five- to seven-member group, which could be in place by May, will be charged with looking at ways to reduce Charlotte’s carbon footprint and creating “a framework for city departments and community organizations to use as a guideline for greener operations.”
